An introduction movement workshop focused on floor work. This workshop will teach techniques of weight transfer, gravity distribution and flow as methods of moving across the floor efficiently and effectively. The workshop consists of improvisation, across the floor and movement combinations.

The Saint John Contemporary Dance Festival is an annual festival that features professional choreographers local and abroad. Contemporary dance is celebrated through live performances and workshops. All events take place in Saint John, New Brunswick.

 

The festival’s programming seeks to offer a variety of artistic performances highlighting contemporary dance in Canada and is open to performers of all cultural backgrounds.  The Festival consists of a Kick-Off Party, ‘Pop-Up’ dance performances in unconventional/site specific spaces throughout the city, and a Main Stage Performance.
